Do you consider yourself a low-risk, moderate-risk, or high-risk investor?
How do you invest in your business?
Today I want to share about three types of investors and how you can create cash flow as a Construction or Service Based business owner without taking on high-risk investments to do it.
In my professional opinion, there are three types of investors…
-People who do not invest at all
-People who invest not to lose
-People who invest to win
What type of investor are you?
Most people have a belief that investing in themselves, their team or their business is risky…
Or that in order to have higher returns you have to take on more risk…
But this couldn’t be farther from the truth when you’re making the RIGHT investments for your business. But today we are not talking investing in stocks!
We are talking about:
Investing in yourself
Investing in your team
Investing in your business
Invest in yourself! You do not know everything and we should be continually learning and growing. Where do you need some educational educational, skill set training – what will help you to be a better leader.
Investing in your team – this helps them to be the best that they can be. Help them to grow in their role, maybe help them to move to a new role. Talk to them and see how they want to grow. Do not worry about investing in your team and then they leave. If you do not invest in them then they will leave!
Invest in your business. This might mean injecting some cash to help move you to the next level. Maybe you need to hire a professional in a particular area to help you reach the next level. Maybe investing more time into your business to reach that next goal. This will look different for everyone.
So, let me ask you…
When was the last time you invested in yourself?
When was the last time you invested in your team?
When was the last time that you invested in your business?
Thinking about your business, do you want to win? Simply Not lose? Or do Nothing?
Summarize for your audience: What’s the big takeaway?
What do you need to do? Who or what do you need to invest in your business next?
